What is Glock Trigger Connector? 🔊
It is an essential component of the Glock pistol, a popular firearm known for its reliability and accuracy. It is a small metal part that connects the trigger bar to the trigger mechanism housing. This connection allows the user to pull back on the trigger bar and activate the weapon’s firing mechanism.
Why It Is Needed 📌
- 📌 It is an essential part of the firearm’s firing mechanism.
- 📌 It consists of two main components: a striker sleeve and a connector bar.
- 📌 The striker sleeve is the component that interacts with the trigger and transfers energy to cause the firing pin to strike the cartridge base, igniting it and discharging the round.
- 📌 The connector bar helps ensure that all parts are correctly aligned and provides increased stability when firing.
- 📌 The trigger connector is designed to allow for the smooth, safe operation of the firearm by providing consistent, reliable performance.
- 📌 It also helps provide a more accurate shooting experience by ensuring that all parts of the system are working together in harmony.
- 📌 It can help reduce felt recoil since it helps maintain proper alignment between all components of the gun’s mechanism.

Hello. Thank you for the post. Are Glock trigger connectors legal?
💡 The legality of Glock trigger connectors can vary depending on your jurisdiction. In some places, they may be considered legal modifications, while in others, they might be restricted or prohibited. It is essential to familiarize yourself with the firearm laws and regulations in your specific area before installing any trigger connector.
Can I install a Glock trigger connector myself?
✅ Yes, Glock trigger connectors can be installed by the firearm owner. However, it is crucial to have a good understanding of how the trigger mechanism works and to follow proper installation procedures. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with modifying your firearm, it is recommended to consult a qualified gunsmith for assistance.
So the trigger connector – to be or not be?)))
🟡 Using a Glock trigger connector can offer several benefits. It can result in a lighter trigger pull, which may enhance accuracy and allow for faster follow-up shots. Additionally, it can help reduce trigger reset distance and improve the overall feel and control of the trigger.
It’s best to try out different connectors yourself since what works for one person may not work well for you. Personally, I’m not a fan of the ghost connectors and have found that the OEM Glock and Taran Tactical connectors work better for me. The dot connector has a quick break and a defined wall, the minus Glock has a slight wall and a mushy break, and the Taran Tactical has a rolling break but a longer travel.
I have watched several videos on how to detail strip a Glock, but I am having trouble understanding one part, which is the connector. To me it doesn’t make a lot of sense
Instead of using a lighter connector as a workaround for not knowing how to operate a Glock trigger, it’s better to learn the proper technique. In my own experience, I started by changing connectors on my competition guns, but after attending classes and later helping to teach them, I learned from skilled shooters who have won trophies and achieved clear results for their students.
I only modify Glocks by adding night sights. I believe that no other changes are necessary, but this is just my personal preference.
I used to modify the triggers on my Glocks with a LW 3.5lb connector, Wolf 6lb trigger spring, and full internal polish. However, I recently discovered that using the stock Glock trigger feels better in the end. I found that the 3.5lb trigger usually feels slightly mushy to me. I’m happy to report that the trigger on my new Gen 4 G22 feels good without modification. I did add Ameriglo I Pro night sights, ESR, and a grip plug, which I am very happy with.
