Step 1: Make sure the gun is unloaded and remove the magazine.

Step 2: Open the action (or bolt) and ensure that there is no round in the chamber.

Step 3: Place the gun on a stable surface with the barrel pointed in a safe direction.

Step 4: Use a wrench to loosen the barrel nut from the handguard until it’s free.

Step 5: Remove the old handguard by pulling it away from the barrel nut.

Step 6: Install the new handguard by reversing these steps. Make sure to tighten the barrel nut snugly to ensure a secure fit.

There are a few ways to remove an AR-10 handguard.

  • One is to use a handguard removal tool, which is a small metal rod with a hooked end that slips into the rail slots on either side of the handguard and provides leverage to pry it loose.
  • Another way is to use a bench vise. Place the barrel of the rifle in the vise so that the receiver is sticking out horizontally, and then clamp down on the handguard with pliers. Be careful not to damage the barrel or receiver!
  • A third way (if you have access to an AR-10 upper receiver) is to remove two screws from around the ejection port and lift off the entire upper receiver.

Removing an AR-10 handguard is a relatively simple process, though there are a few different ways to do it.

  • The most common way is to use a barrel nut wrench to loosen the nut on the end of the barrel, and then slide the handguard off.
  • Another way is to use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the handguard in place.

Whichever method you choose, be careful not to damage any of the components or injure yourself in the process.

There are a few different ways to remove an AR-10 handguard, depending on the type of rail system that is installed.

  1. If the handguard has a fixed barrel nut, then it can be removed using a crowbar or other levering tool.
  2. If the handguard has a free-floating barrel nut, then it can be removed by first removing the delta ring and then unscrewing the barrel nut.
