2. To load the gun, start with two shells in your hand. insertion end first, inserts one shell into the loading gate on the left side of the receiver until it locks into place.
3. Do the same with the second shell on the right side loading gate. now close the action to cock the gun and make it ready to fire.
4. Finally, insert shells into the magazine tube until it is full. depending on the model of shotgun, this may be anywhere from 4 to 7 shells.
With these simple steps, you’ll have your Mossberg 930 shotgun loaded and ready to go!
There are three ways to load a Mossberg 930 shotgun: via the magazine tube, by hand, or with a slug loader.
1. Magazine Tube Load
To load the magazine tube, first ensure that the shotgun is unloaded and the breech is open. Then, insert shells into the magazine until it is full, being careful not to exceed the maximum capacity. Once the magazine is full, close the breach and cycle the action to chamber a round.
2. Hand Load
To hand load a Mossberg 930 shotgun, first ensure that the shotgun is unloaded and the breech is open. Insert shells into the loading gate one at a time until there are rounds in both chambers of the shotgun. When finished, close the breach and cycle the action to chamber a round.
3. Slug Load
To load a slug into the Mossberg 930 shotgun, first ensure that the shotgun is unloaded and the breech is open. Insert the slug into the loading gate and push it forward until it is in line with the shell stop. Then, close the breach and cycle the action to chamber a round. Once chambered, the slug can be fired like a normal shotgun shell.
One common method is to firstly ensure that the gun is unloaded and the safety is engaged.
With the gun pointed in a safe direction, insert a loading tube into the magazine tube until it locks in place.
Then, angle the muzzle up and press down on the lift spring plunger located inside the magazine cap; this will release pressure on the magazine spring and allow you to insert shells into the loading tube.
Finally, depress the lift spring plunger again to engage pressure on the spring and release shells into the chamber one at a time.
The most common way is to insert shells into the magazine tube until it is full, then pump the action to chamber a round.
Other models may have an under-barrel tubular magazine, in which case shells can be inserted directly into the chamber.
Some older models of Mossberg 930s also had a side-loading gate on the receiver, but this is no longer present on newer models.
