                  I reside in the UK, and it is possible to request moderators for firearms licenses without any issue. Recently, while using my 300 Winchester magnum, I noticed that I was developing a flinch as I wasn’t using it frequently. I researched on the usage of muzzle breaks, but they are not much in use for hunting in the UK, and they seem to be more appropriate for long-range shooting. Nonetheless, I bought an RCC muzzle break recently, and it has effectively reduced the recoil of my 300 I was surprised by the concussion caused by the gases when the break was released. The loud blast was probably due to me not being accustomed to firing the rifle without a moderator.

                    I use a Model 70 Winchester to shoot a 300 Weatherby. Adding a Pachmeyer decelerator pad was helpful, but I still wear a shoulder pad during practice to avoid flinching. I don’t want to use a brake due to the strong muzzle blast.
