There are a few ways to uncock a shotgun without dry firing:
- One way is to hold the gun so that the stock is pointing towards the ground. Then, using your left hand, hold onto the barrel of the gun and use your right hand to push down on the cocking lever. This should release the hammer and uncock the gun.
- Another way to uncock a shotgun without dry firing is to place the butt of the gun against your hip and use your left hand to grasp either side of the barrel. With your right hand, push down on the cocking lever until you hear or feel it release. This will Uncock the gun without Dry Firing it.
One way is to use the pump action to release the round from the chamber and cock the gun back into its original state.
Another way is to hold the gun backward and hit the trigger with your thumb, which will release the hammer.
Finally, you can also use a screwdriver or another object to press down on the bolt and release it from the firing pin.
Whichever way you choose, be sure to take all necessary safety precautions before handling firearms.
