I own four ropes from this brand, with weights ranging from 1/4lb to 2lb. Out of all the ropes, my favorite is the 1/2lb one due to its action and quick release design. Although the ropes can be expensive, I believe they are worth the cost except for the 1/4lb rope – I struggle to jump with it and continuously trip on it. Despite it being the same length as the others, I think it recoils differently off the ground because of its lighter weight. However, I have no issues with the other ropes.

        If you primarily use jumping as your cardio exercise, then I recommend investing in crossropes. Although I previously used $10 speed ropes which were sufficient, crossropes provide a superior experience. Although I don’t necessarily believe that weighted ropes provide a notably better workout, the crossropes’ handles are well-designed and prevent tangling. They are a high-quality product overall. However, I find that the ropes are quite expensive and the offered discounts don’t result in significant savings.

          Everyone has their own unique experiences. In my case, I began jumping ropes for the first time in January soon after buying a speedy rope from Amazon. Although I struggled at first, I gradually improved. Later, I came across an ad from Crossrope which I thought was interesting. Even though I initially thought it was pricey for just a set of jumping ropes, I eventually gave in after reading about the benefits of using weighted ropes. I ended up purchasing the get lean set and I have no regrets about doing so! After a month, I purchased the strong set of ropes which greatly improved my learning progress. I found that practicing skills like the cross-cross and double-unders with a heavier rope made them easier to learn. However, it’s important to note that these tricks can also be learned with a regular rope. The added weight engages more muscles and burns more calories during the workout.

              Jumping rope barefoot on a Crossrope is not recommended. Here’s why:

Shoes also offer stability and help maintain proper form during your jump rope workouts.

              Grip and Control: Jumping rope with shoes provides better grip and control over the movements. Shoes with rubber soles offer traction, allowing you to maintain stability and execute jumps with confidence.

              Hygiene: Wearing shoes while jumping rope helps maintain hygiene by protecting your feet from dirt, debris, and potential contaminants present on the ground.

                The jump ropes are sturdy and spin smoothly, and the handles are comfortable to grip. They provide a good workout for your arms due to their weight. However, please note that they are not adjustable. If you’re accustomed to using adjustable PVC or plastic ropes, you may have to re-learn how to use a jump rope with these. Additionally, getting hit with a 1/2 lb. rope can be very painful.

                  I started jumping rope instead of running after my weightlifting routine and it feels much better. Even though I thought I lacked coordination, using Crossrope has been the best choice.
